With my surgery I had inside stitched with steri-strips on the outside holding them closed. It looks like white tape and you can't remove them you have to wait for them to fall off. On one of my small side incisions a piece of the inside stitch started to poke through but it didn't hurt and it eventually fell off. (Don't pull steri strips or stitch pieces!) Some of my steri strips started to fall off and I wasn't thinking and ripped it off then freaked out bc the corner of the incision came open a little but the doctor said it was ok haha So as an fyi dont mess with the strips , they will be annoying once they start curling and looking dirty but let them go on their own.

It only took me a couple weeks to feel back to normal and my diet afterwards was normal food, just nothing too fatty or greasy. Like the day after my surgery I took it easy food wise (mashed potatoes, soup, jello) but then I went to solid regular food.

You will do fine and it will be over before you know it! Good luck :)

Thanks! I know this is not major surgery or anything, but i still feel a little nervous.

Good to hear it's only about 2 weeks to feel back to normal. Have you had any problems since your surgery?

No worries, I was terrified before mine too! haha Um..I haven't had any major problems..but I have had some digestive problems since my surgery (aka dumping syndrome). I know that everyone is different so you may not have any problems. It isn't a huge deal and it seems to be getting better as time goes on. I have kind of adjusted my life a little bit to accomodate it but it is better than the pain I was in with my gallstones.
