After a long LONG wait....I'm finally getting my gallbladder removed!! At first the surgeon said they'd decided against doing it because there were no stones on my ultrasound scans, but when I told him about a scan I had (and paid for myself) two days ago....he rang them up, got them to read out the report, and HELLO GALLBLADDER REMOVAL!!
I've signed the consent form and everything!! THIS IS EXCITING!
Okay, it's scary too, but mostly it's very exciting. I've only had two operations previously, but both were in my mouth (tonsils out at 16, wisdom teeth out when I was in my early 20s), so I'm hoping I'll be mentally better ready for it.
Anyway, wanted to share this good news :)
